  • Prepare to put in a heat shield. There is no substitute for trial and error when it comes to positioning heat shields. The heat shield should be around 4 inches from the left side of the bike. Depending on the type and quantity of food, it may be necessary to relocate the heat shield.
  • Make sure the oil tray is in place before cooking.
  • The chimney cap should be opened to a two-finger opening.
  • Turn on the grill by plugging it in.
  • OFF should be displayed on the panel’s display.
  • For the grill to come on, simply press the red power button once only. As soon as the 1-2-3 cycle is completed, the display should automatically raise the temperature to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Depending on where you live and the conditions, this should take no more than fifteen minutes to complete.
  • You may modify the temperature of the display using the up/down buttons after it reaches the pre-set 150° F setting.
